Cardiff University Scholarships for International Students in Details
Cardiff University is located in Cardiff, the largest city in Wales (UK). The university has been consistently ranked amongst the best universities in Britain, particularly in the field of engineering and psychology. Cardiff University offers several scholarships to international students in the field of Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Journalism, Psychology and Pharmacy.

Cardiff University Scholarships for International Students:
There are various Cardiff University Scholarships available for the international students. The following are the Cardiff University Scholarships:
(1) Business Administration Scholarship:
Cardiff Business School undergraduate scholarships for international students in the following subject areas:
- Accounting
- Banking and Finance
- Business Management
- Business Studies with Japanese
- Economics
The scholarships are worth £2000 per year. They will be available in each year of undergraduate studies, subject to continuing satisfactory academic performance in years one and two chosen degree. (2) Cardiff School of Engineering:
The Cardiff School of Engineering is one of the most reputed engineering schools in United Kingdom. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship valued at £1500 for the first year of the course for international students. Limited number of PhD scholarships is also available for eligible international students. (3) Law Scholarships:
Cardiff Law School offers two types of scholarships to international students (excluding students from the European Union): first, a £1000 Entrance Bursary to those who achieve excellence at A-level or the equivalent (12th Std); and second, Merit Scholarships to those who achieve outstanding academic performance whilst studying on the LLB program at Cardiff as given below:
- The £1000 scholarship will be awarded to students who achieve an average of 60-64% in their assessments at the end of either their first or second year of their degree.
- The £3000 scholarship will be awarded to those who achieve an average of 65-69%.
- The £5000 scholarship will be awarded to those who achieve an average of 70% or more.

(4) Journalism Postgraduate Scholarships:
The Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies offers postgraduate scholarships for eligible international applicants who have accepted an offer of a place to study for a one-year Masters program in International Journalism, International Public Relations, Journalism Studies or Political Communications. One Scholarship is available in each of the following areas:
- Cardiff International Journalism scholarship – £5000
- Cardiff International Public Relations Scholarship – £5000
- Cardiff Journalism Studies Scholarship – £5000
- Cardiff Political Communications Scholarships – £5000

(5) Psychology Scholarships:
Cardiff Psychology School offers two types of undergraduate scholarship to international students (excluding students from the European Union): first, a £1000 Entrance Bursary to those who achieve excellence at A-level or the equivalent (12th Std); and second, Merit Scholarships to those who achieve outstanding academic performance whilst studying Psychology at Cardiff.
(6) Entrance Bursary:
A £1000 Entrance Bursary will be awarded to all students (EU not included) who enroll in the first year of the Psychology or Psychology with Professional Placement program as full fee-paying students of international fee status, having achieved AAB at A-level or the local equivalent (12th std).
(7) Merit Scholarship:
The Merit Scholarships are available to first and second year undergraduate students who are enrolled on the Psychology or Psychology with Professional Placement program as full fee-paying students of international fee status.
The £3000 scholarship will be awarded to those who achieve an average of 70% or more.

(8) Welsh School of Pharmacy Scholarship:
The Welsh School of Pharmacy awards up to five scholarships per annum which are available to students who are self-funded or partially-funded from another source.
Awards are made on the basis of academic performance, interview performance and need. candidates will only be invited to apply for the Scholarship if they have already received an Unconditional, or Conditional, offer from the School of Pharmacy.
The level of grant awarded will be a minimum of £ 1000 or a maximum of £ 2700 in any academic year and will be made assuming the applicant satisfies the requirements of the Master of Pharmacy Scheme Examination Board and progresses to the next academic year.
