Different Career Opportunities in Nursing
Career opportunities in nursing are more varied now for a number of reasons. The lists of opportunities and scope of nursing practice are given below:

- Ambulatory Care Nurse: They are needed to help outpatients who typically stay for less than 24 hours in a hospital. They provide a variety of diagnostic and other medical services.
- Critical care Nurses: Critical care nurses provide assistance to patients (and their families) who are experiencing life-threatening illness and injuries. Emergency nurses work in a high pressure emergency setting like intensive care units where the patient need to be diagnosed quickly, racing against time.
- Nursing Informatics: This type of nursing career is for those men and women who both love to provide care and also have an aptitude with computers. When considering different types of nursing positions, this type of nurse plays an integral role in information management – which is crucial to the proper care and treatment of patients in the world today.
- Neonatal Nursing: Nurse is responsible for providing care for newborn babies – including premature babies and babies who are ill or not thriving.
- Oncology Nursing: The nurses provide health care for patients suffering from cancer. These nurses care for patients at all stages of treatment and remission and truly is the backbone of any treatment programme for a person suffering from cancer.
- Pediatric Nursing: Pediatric nurses provide care for children of different ages. These nurses are charged with providing for all aspects of healthcare for children.

- Military Nurse: Military nursing service became a part of the army by which means nurses became commissioned officers who are given rank from lieutenant to major.
- Cardio Thoracic Nurse: She takes care of clients with cardiac and lung disorders.
- Neurosurgical Nurse: She provides services to the clients with neurological disorders and head injuries.
- Operation Theatre Nurse: She assists the doctors in various surgeries at operation theatre.
